Minimum Qualifications

These are the basic skills and knowledge you need to keep you and your work crew safe on the jobsite. They do not take five years of studying to acquire. You do not have to pay $50,000 to get them. We’ll give you all the training and help you need to pass them. In just a few short weeks, you’ll be ready to join the team.

  • H2S Alive
  • First Aid
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2 ACGA Endorsed
  • CSTS 2020 or PCST
  • Common Safety Orientation
  • Safety and Positive Attitude  

Once you have these, it’s a matter of learning on the job in terms of promotions and career advancement. Pay attention. Be proactive. Many of our current boardroom members took this route to the top. That’s why we say you can truly build a future with us.

Current Opportunities

We recruit all levels of experience on deployments across western Canada. If you don’t live locally, that’s not a problem. We provide accommodation for remote operations. Live in the city, work in the wild. It’s the best of both worlds.

PLEASE NOTE: Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 may be required to work on a STRAIT worksite due to worksite owner/client/prime contractor requirements. Each employee has the right to decline COVID-19 testing and/or providing proof of vaccination. However, this will result in the employee being ineligible to work on certain project sites.

STRAIT Pipeline and Facility Construction and Maintenance

We are hiring a Class 1 Truck Driver for our Fort St. John branch!

What do we require?
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
  • Must have experience in the operation of heavy trucks and trailers
  • Experience loading and unloading equipment and winch experience is considered an asset
  • Available to work flexible shifts, which may include weekends and evenings

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, Manage, and be Accountable for assigned projects
  • Budget, Schedule, Safety, Quality Mgmt.
  • Assist with Project Tenders
  • Compliance with government, regulatory, and industry best practices
  • Integrate and execute STRAIT’s ESG plan
  • Create and maintain accurate financial and schedule forecasts
  • Manage plans, specifications, costs, material estimates, subcontractors, and related reports
  • Mobilize and direct resources assigned to achieve maximum profits
  • Maintain overall control of material and equipment
  • Coordinate and lead meetings

Qualifications & Experience
